OMG! I am soooo sorry I haven't updated in a while. I never realised how tired I would be this week. I been struggling to study and I have almost fallen asleep in some exams (once I had finished of couse). But if I wasn't so tired I porbably still struggle to update because the joints in my fingers have frozen up! It is icy cold in our exam hall, sure there's heating but do they keep it on? No. I was sitting in there with three layers and its still freezing!
Not nice when you have to sit in there for an hour and 45mins and in the summer the exam will be even longer! (but hopefully it will be warmer).
Anyways I've done all of my exams now aside from finishing off art and DT which should be okay.
Also today in the Learning Centre at school a 'Secret Santa' was oragnised among the monitors and we gave out presents today. But somehow I managed to get two. Not that I'm complaining but it sure has left me confused. Miss Lockwood and Mrs Sage said I must have a secret admirer. Eek!
What else have I been up to? Oh! I got a B in my English Lit exam. Considering I only wrote a page when everyone else wrote about two and a half I'm happy. I also looked at Hardenhuish 6th form. It was okay, but it didn't offer as many courses as New Colledge so I'm sticking there. But it did make me realise that Psychology looks absolutly amazing! So that's another course I'm stciking on the application form (along with another eight!)
But I don't have any exams tommorrow so I'm happy! :D

Exams
Has anyone tried sitting an exam for the entire day? I have, and it can drain you. Sure you may just be sitting there and writing but staring at the same piece of work and being in the same room for five hours straight can drive you a little loopy. Not that I wasn't anyway!
But anyway this is my art exam I'm talking about, 5 hours ouch! This is the reason why I was asking what people thought about Egypt. But as for my final piece; it's not amazing but it could be alot worse. I'll try and get a picture of it on here ASAP but I can't be sure how long that will be. (Hey that rhymes! ^_^)
But at least I won't be at school tomorrow. Because I going to Poetry Live in Bath, which is where the poets talk about what they are trying to get across in their pieces and the feelings they're trying to convey. Kind of good timing that I have my English Lit exam the next day which is on those poems and one the best but most freaky books I've read "Lord of the Flies".
I'm really tired so I'm probably going to hit the sack in a bit. But first thing first thank you very much Mrs Nesbitt I'm really pleased that you were inspired by my little motto. I've never been one to go with the crowd unintentionally or (since secondary school) intentionally. Therefore I'm an outcast but it doesn't bother me and I stick by what I say.
Another little thing I found and it is similar to my motto. I just had an impulse to write this and to be honest I love it! Enjoy!!!

Identity
A part of me,
But a truely secret part,
Never can I reveal the true feelings of my heart.
In the mirror, myself I see,
But what I wish can never Be.
Just a face, can't be set apart,
Only the eyes, reveal trueness of heart.
But how can such a thing be seen,
If a mask is what the face has been.
Many... all wear a mask,
To show your true self is all I ask.
See the eyes, windows of the soul,
But such things are unwillingly told.
You see the world is such a mess,
Because, if you think about it, we're all...

Looooong Day
School felt as though it could go on forever today. It didn't help when our first lesson was a science double where we wrote for an hour and 40 mins on nothing but equlibrium. I know it needs to be done but it could have been made more exciting than being sent home from school because your hand dropped off! (FYI I didn't go home I stayed in school) But came home feeling worse today than yesterday; headache, sneazles and with the feeling of a feather being stuck down my throat!
Anyways, I feel like posting another poem. This one was written for yet another competition, I didn't win but got special mention. That was good enough for me as it was written on a school trip to Italy in May and I was ill for the majority of it. But it was supposed to capture the feel of Verona and I remember the teachers saying deep and compassionate...... or something along those lines.
If I can remember where I put the photos of that trip I'll try on post them up.
Anyway here's the poem.

Anyway here's the poem.
In Verona, city of dreams and love,
Across my path came two turtle doves.
Many hearts beat and thought it sweet.
But deep sorrow inmy heart lay,
They don't understand what you have to pay.
Love can be sweet,
Two lovers meet.
But the sweetness of the heart,
Can be easily torn apart.
Yes, I know of love and pain,
Now I have lost my most beautiful gain.
Verona, city of beginning and end.
A beautiful city,
For my first love send.
The city where my soul's other half,
Came across my own lonely path.
Two people meet,
And life was sweet.
My very own angel, a true romance,
It was a tango, a passionate dance.
I'd found my love, my new obsession,
But my future was full of depression.
My heart was complete, no missing piece,
I had no idea what was coming up,
Something I expected least.
The guy had no idea, while he was flying high,
Because the path he chose to lead,
My love would have to die.
I walk in the moonlight,
In the dead of night.
I wallow in my sadness.
I find it hard to remember,
When my life wasn't a mess.
A shadow crossed my path,
A shadow of a dove.
No.
Wait.
A shadow of my love.
My angel standing there,
Hair silky, forever fair.
Not one of my best for rhyming and rhythm but I love the content. I hope you liked it.

P.S
I felt I should explain.
The reason why I get on with Miss Lockwood so well is beacuse I'm a Senior Monitor. Basically in the Learning Centre (technically just a library with a computer suite) we have monitors. Monitors are students who sign up to have an interview with one of the Senior Monitors, Miss Lockwood or Mrs Sage (another librarian, very sweet lady). If they do well in the interview then they are put into one of the teams. There are 5 teams; a team for each day.
If you keep at being a monitor and a good and trustworthy one at that; then you can be promoted to Deputy Monitor. Deputy Monitors take care of everything if their Senior happens to be ill or unavailable.
After that you are then promoted to Senior Monitor. To get that position can be done in two ways; either your Senior decides to quit or they leave school. (Senior Monitors have to be in Yrs 10 or 11)
You also get to wear a cool badge, but also makes new students think your a prefect or something. Eek!

School
The title says it all really, yep school. Not to mention the worst sore throat I've had in ages so I could hardly talk. Not the best day to do drama but thankfully its gone down a bit now. But it has been replaced by the sneazles. Oh joy! But it could have been alot worse.
I have finally sorted out a revision timetable for my mock exams thanks to Miss Lockwood; school librarian and personal lifesaver! Not to mention a very good friend!
Also another thing! By the end of this week I need my initial ideas for my mock exams so.........
I would like to know, when you think of Egypt what comes to mind? Really appreciate some feedback.

Starting Off
I felt like starting off with a poem I had written for a competition on National Poetry Day held at my school. The theme was space and to my shock and surprise I won. So I hope you enjoy!

6th Oct 2005

Stars and planets, planets and stars,
Dreams of wild stories coming from afar.
Light and dark, dark and light,
Stars soraring, a never ending flight.
Vast but nothing, nothing but vast,
A place where dreams can always last.
Space and worlds, worlds and space,
Never will anything be like this place.
Stars and planets, space and time,
This my friends is the end of the line.
